This collaboration marks a significant step forward in addressing inequalities and enhancing access to sports facilities, particularly with the introduction of Playfinder’s innovative Bookteq and Lockteq technologies.
The inauguration of the first PlayZone at Normanton Park Sports Courts in Derby is the first manifestation of this collaboration – advancing sports accessibility and community engagement. Supported by key stakeholders including the Premier League, The FA, Sport England, and the Derby City Council, this new state-of-the-art facility caters to a wide range of sports enthusiasts.

Bookteq, Playfinder’s proprietary facility hire software, is designed to simplify the management of bookings for the Sporting Communities team, with the Playfinder listing allowing community groups and individuals to easily reserve and play at Normanton Park’s PlayZone. Meanwhile, Lockteq provides a secure and convenient access system, granting users exclusive entry to the facilities via unique access codes.
The integration of Bookteq and Lockteq into the PlayZones pilot project at Normanton Park demonstrates the Football Foundation’s dedication to embracing innovative solutions that drive inclusivity and participation in sports.
